Embark on a thrilling King Crab Safari in Kirkenes, Norway. Equipped with specialized gear, you'll set out in search of these colossal crustaceans, known for their delicious meat. As you haul in the traps, expert guides will share insights into the local marine ecosystem and the traditional methods of crab fishing. After the excursion, indulge in a freshly caught King Crab feast, savoring the exquisite flavors of the Arctic delicacy in a stunning natural setting.
ITINERARY
DAY 1
Helsinki
Arrival at Helsinki airport. A local Coach will meet the group from the airport with a group name board. Our English speaking guide will meet group at Helsinki city center for a full-day guided tour in Helsinki area:
To do: Senate Square, Parliament House, Market Square, Toumiokirkko, Sibelius Monument, City hall
Both lunch and dinner will be arranged in Helsinki city. Our selected restaurants include Asia style restaurants and European style restaurants which provide a variety of meal choices.
Overnight stay in one of our selected 4-star hotels in Helsinki
DAY 2
Helsinki, Rovaniemi
Breakfast at hotel
Our local coach will transfer the group to Helsinki airport, the group will fly to Rovaniemi, Santa’s home town north in Finland. After landing at Rovaniemi airport, our local guide and the LDC coach will greet the group at the airport with a group name board, then start the magical journey of the winter wonderland tour!
To do: Rovaniemi Church, Rovaniemi Old Train Station.
21h00 If the weather is good, a maximum 4 hour northern light hunting coach tour will be arranged. This tour can be flexible choosing one of the days during this tour in Finnish Lapland.
Lunch and dinner will be arranged in Rovaniemi.

DAY 3
Rovaniemi, Kalix, Kemi, Rovaniemi
Breakfast at hotel
09h00 The LDC coach will drive the group for a return trip to Kalix, where we take the ‘Icebreak cruise activity’. After visiting the snow castle in Kemi, LDC coach will drive back to Rovaniemi.
To do: Polar Exp Icebreaker + lunch, Kemi Snow Castle
Dinner will be arranged in Rovaniemi.

DAY 4
Rovaniemi
Breakfast at hotel
09h00 The LDC coach will drive the group for a full-day tour in Rovaniemi.
To do: Ice fishing experience by snowmobile with light lunch, Reindeer Safari, Santa Clause village, Arctic circle certificate, and meeting Santa,
Dinner will be arranged in Rovaniemi.

DAY 5
Rovaniemi, Saariselka, Ivalo
Breakfast at hotel
09h00 After breakfast, the LDC coach will drive the group even north to Saariselka and Ivalo, where several glass roofed Igloo villages are located.
To do: Siida museum, Kultamuseo (gold museum), snowshoe hiking.
Lunch and dinner will be arranged at local restaurants on routes.

DAY 6
Ivalo, Kirkenes
Breakfast at hotel
0900 The LDC coach will continually drive the group even north to Kirkenes, a north-town in Norway. Do not forget to check your clock, there is a 1 hour time difference between Finland and Norway!
To do: King Crab Safari at Snow hotel with King crab meal (lunch), snow hotel visit.
Dinner will be arranged at a restaurant in Kirkenes.

DAY 7
Kirkenes, Tromso
Breakfast at hotel
08h00 After breakfast, a local coach will drive the group to Kirkenes airport, the group will fly to Tromso, the most beautiful city in North Norway.
After group arrival at Tromso airport, an English speaking guide and local coach will meet the group with a name board, then start a full-day guided tour.
To do: Ishavskatedralen (Cathedral), Aurora husky visit, Fjellheisen cable car
Tasty lunch and dinner will be arranged in Tromso.

DAY 8
Tromso
Breakfast at hotel
After breakfast and checking out of the hotel, a local coach will transfer the group from the hotel to Tromso airport. We wish you a safe and pleasant flight trip back home.
